For operators
Marketing Management
For operators who need the marketing run properly and do not want to run it themselves. An ongoing retainer where Andy handles the marketing and you handle the business.
The problem this solves
Marketing is the job that gets done last, in the evening, badly. Not because you cannot do it — because the roster fell over, a supplier did not turn up, and a guest needed something. It is nobody's fault. It is the nature of running a venue.
The result is a presence that goes quiet for six weeks then produces three posts in a day, an email list that has not been mailed since last season, and advertising that nobody has looked at since it was set up.
A retainer fixes the rhythm. The work happens whether or not this week went to plan.

What's included
- A quarterly plan tied to your actual booking patterns, not a generic content calendar
- Social media planned, produced and scheduled
- Email campaigns to your own list, written and sent
- Paid advertising managed and adjusted, with spend reviewed monthly
- Google Business Profile kept current, including review responses
- Website updates as needed — offers, seasons, packages
- Monthly reporting that leads with numbers, including the ones that went the wrong way
- Direct access to Andy, not an account manager
Typical timeline
Month one is setup and the first plan. From month two it runs on a steady monthly rhythm. Minimum engagement is three months, because nothing in marketing gives you a fair read in less.
What it costs
Quoted monthly, after we have looked at what you actually need. There is no standard package, because a single cellar door and a three-venue group are not the same job.
- How many properties or venues we are running
- Which channels — social, email, advertising, or all of it
- How much content we produce, and whether that includes getting a camera on site
- Whether we manage your ad spend as well as the campaigns
- How often you want reporting, and how much of it goes to a board
A Marketing Health Check first is the usual way in: it sizes the job honestly, and its fee comes off the retainer if you go ahead.
One brief that grew into five years
Andy worked with Clubs WA for five years, and in that time the brief just kept growing — it started with our sponsors and ended up covering our magazine, our newsletter, our social media and our Annual Awards. We went from 18 active sponsors to 27, our member newsletter consistently opened above 40%, and the 2022 Awards at the Esplanade brought together nearly 400 people from across the sector. He understood clubs and hospitality, not just marketing, and that's why it worked.

Common questions
Am I locked into a contract?
Three months minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice. The three months exist so the work gets a fair read, not to trap anyone.
Who actually does the work?
Andy, supported by Sally. There is no account team and no handover after the pitch — the person you meet is the person doing the work.
What if I already have someone doing the social media?
Then we work around them, or we do not include it. The retainer is scoped to what you actually need, not a fixed bundle.
Do I own everything at the end?
Yes. Accounts, assets, lists and logins are yours and stay in your name throughout. We build systems you could run without us — that is the point.
How do you report?
Monthly, numbers first, with the things that did not work stated as plainly as the things that did.
Hand the marketing over
