For operators

Advertising

For operators who want paid advertising that pays for itself — online, in print, or on a roadside sign — and want to know which one is working.

The problem this solves

Two things go wrong with tourism advertising. The first is spending on Google and Meta with no idea what a booking costs, so the only lever anyone ever pulls is "spend more" or "stop".

The second is dismissing print and outdoor because someone said it was dead. In regional Western Australia it is not dead. A sign on the South Western Highway reaches people at the exact moment they are deciding where to stop, and a visitor guide sits in a caravan for a fortnight.

The right answer is usually both, in a measured mix — which is why we run them together rather than treating digital and traditional as different departments.

What's included

  • Google Search and Performance Max campaigns, built and managed
  • Meta advertising across Facebook and Instagram
  • Conversion tracking set up properly, so cost per enquiry and cost per booking are real numbers
  • Print advertising — visitor guides, regional press, and the publications your visitors actually read
  • Outdoor and signage planning, including placement advice
  • Creative and copy for every channel, in your brand
  • Monthly reporting with spend, cost per enquiry, and a plain recommendation on what to change

Typical timeline

Two to three weeks to build and launch digital campaigns. Print and outdoor run to publication deadlines, which are often months ahead — we work back from those.

What it costs

Quoted per campaign or as part of a retainer. Two numbers matter here and they are often confused: what we charge to run the advertising, and what you spend with Google or Meta. The second is yours and goes straight to the platform.

  • Which platforms, and how many campaigns run at once
  • Whether the creative is ours to produce or yours to supply
  • Print and outdoor, which are priced per placement
  • How much you are spending, since managing a $500 month and a $10,000 month are different jobs

We will tell you if your budget is too small to be worth managing. That happens, and paying a management fee on top of a budget that cannot move the needle helps nobody.

Advertising design that grew student numbers

Advertising design across the Clubs WA newsletter and bi-monthly magazine contributed to ongoing growth in student numbers for Hospitality Alliance Training.

Common questions

What is the minimum sensible spend?

It depends on your market and season, and we will tell you if your budget is too small to get a fair read. Advertising a $200 room night in a competitive month needs different money to a $40 tasting.

Do you charge a percentage of spend?

No. A percentage fee rewards us for spending your money, which is the wrong incentive. Management is a flat fee.

Who owns the ad accounts?

You do. We work in your accounts with delegated access, so nothing is stranded if we stop working together.

Is print really still worth it?

In regional WA, often yes — particularly visitor guides and roadside signage, which reach people already travelling. We will tell you when it is not.

How quickly will we see results?

Search advertising can produce enquiries in days. Building an efficient account takes six to eight weeks of data. Anyone promising faster is guessing.
