# Clubs WA — a single brief that grew into five years of marketing management

> Five years of marketing management for a body representing around 500 WA clubs. Active sponsors grew from 18 to 27; the member newsletter held above 40%.

## The situation

Clubs WA is the industry body for Western Australia's not-for-profit club sector — club rooms, restaurants and bars. It represents around 500 not-for-profit and community clubs, roughly half the sector in WA.

It needed to strengthen the value it delivered to its commercial sponsors. Those relationships underpin the association's ability to support its member clubs, so sponsor value is not a marketing nicety — it is the funding model.

## What we did

- Rebuilt the sponsor engagement approach
- Social media management
- Designed and produced a bi-monthly 40-page glossy magazine
- Ongoing email marketing to the member network
- Member workshops on marketing for clubs, member retention and social media
- Planned and ran the Annual Awards, including the 2022 Awards and Conference at the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle
